being in the candy business (holidays are always more popular occasions to fancy the sweet tooth!)I would be accustomed to jumping the gun on each upcoming holiday.

November sale WILL feature a corner of Christmas.  Ok, one half of the main room BUT I did it reluctantly and might I say, Scrooge like?  NOT YET, I whined!

But that's not what you want to hear from a local gift shop!

TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY!

It IS fun to 'stage' the unique creations made by talented consigners and find the vintage trinkets and wares of yesteryear that will bring nostalgic thoughts of Christmas' of our childhood!

Wait til you see the grungy santa's, the primitive wreath's, repurposed windows frosted and decorated with vintage ice skates, the reindeer on a stick...the list goes on!

Get going on gifts with handmade 

hats, mittens, photo's, art, pottery, jewels, clothing and much, much MORE!

I'm excited!  EXCITED I say!

It took some getting used to but I'm ready and I hope you are too!  With a dusting of the white stuff outside and twinkling lights throughout the shop-It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, ready or not!

Our October Sale is this week!!

ANOTHER fabulous month of staging some really great talents from local artists!  

I've said it before but I must say it again- I am honored to have amazing people with amazing gifts to share at Golly G!  

It's pretty amazing just one year ago I had my first 'Local loft' sale including vintage and local handcrafts from my home in Hermantown.  

Thanks to Anita Murray-Checkered Corner

and her FAB idea to join her at 4776 Hermantown Rd, we are who we are, where we are TODAY!

My vision hasn't wavered and I relish and am proud in the fact that Golly G remains supportive of local arts and that my 'picking' habits and friends continue to be a popular piece of who we are also!

OctoBRRRRR is here!

I'm a big old wimp when it comes to being cold!

Here I blog in my SmartWool's, slippers, hooded sweater and 3 blankets!  This of course after a day outside cleaning and organizing the yard and 'my goodies' for their new winter storage area's.  

It seems as though the wind picks up it's pace in Duluth in the Autumn months.  With just one good gusty day the beauty of fall can be uprooted into swirls of gold into piles of crunchy fun for kids.  (and adults too- wonder if hubby would mind me posting some leaf fun that occurred after cursing the fallen in our 'trying to put the pool away without leaves in it' attempt!)

Anyway, my new junking zone is tucked nicely in the (when needed, heated) back garage.  So wonderful to be allowed the single stall side of someone's Garage Mahal!  : )  

We look forward to our 'busy' season with many new consigner's and crafts!  The yellow house is a wonderful place to be--much less stress as the weather changes!  It now can rain, sleet, wind and snow ...wait, well, NO ...not quite all at once but we are thankful and feeling ready for the changes ahead!

What will September bring?

Besides Fall colors (which next to pinks are my favorite pallet of colors) back to school for my kiddo's, and all the scents and beauty that fall in the Northland will bring!

Playing with Autumn themes seems to be a favorite, so we will go 

FULL FLEDGE FALL

for our September sale!

Other changes include a MoVe!

Golly G will be taking up residence in the yellow house across the sidewalk from my existing shop!

We are excited to stage in new space without the worry of outside elements affecting our sale and products.  (As you would figure the greenhouse has been challenging at times with heat, wet and cold!) 

We shall be ready to go in our new space for September sale!  

With that being said, here are our dates and hours with changes and addition's highlighted:

The Duluth Flood of 2012 will not be forgotten anytime soon.  Amazing what Mother Nature can do-- even a flood in a city build on a hill!  (& our shops are on top of it!)
